According to the UN, more than 4 billion people are facing water scarcity at least one month of a year. At the same time, more than 30% of potable water is lost during distribution causing high energy costs and unnecessary CO2 emmissions. PYDRO develops self-powered sensing and acting systems to be placed into water networks to make these networks smarter and enable water utilities to manage their networks more efficient... PYDROs PT1 sends data in real time without the need of a power supply or a battery exchange. Comparing the current data with historical data or the hydraulic model of the network enables the customer to pre-locate events and leakages in real time.
