Big news from the InnovX ecosystem! Mixology.AI, our very own spin-off, has been selected to join the Microsoft AI Online Fintech Accelerator for Central Europe, a prestigious program powered by Microsoft, in collaboration with NVIDIA, Mastercard, BNP Paribas, and other fintech giants.

What is Mixology.AI? Born at the intersection of AI, finance, and startup innovation, Mixology.AI enables financial institutions to identify and engage with the most promising early-stage start-ups using cutting-edge technologies like generative AI, blockchain, and a proprietary “readiness engine.” The goal? OpenHorizons: Empowering Women in Innovation

Between April 2nd - 3rd, Brussels became the epicenter of European innovation during the EIC Summit 2025. InnovX, in collaboration with partners like Sploro, Migros Ticaret, PEDAL Consulting, and Procter & Gamble, proudly showcased the Open Horizons Project initiative. This European Union–funded program is dedicated to empowering women-led start-ups in the deep tech and digital innovation sectors.

Our Projects Coordinator, Bianca Păcurar, represented InnovX at the summit. Her presence highlighted our commitment to amplifying the voices of women in tech across Europe.

We are immensely proud to rank among the top three official EIC Partners in terms of the number of accelerated EIC beneficiaries. This milestone reflects our deep commitment to empowering breakthrough innovators and scaling transformative solutions across Europe.

Our time at the summit was marked by engaging panel discussions focused on how women-led ventures can scale in frontier markets, as well as tactical workshops on navigating EU grants and equity-free funding. These sessions provided attendees with actionable insights and fostered meaningful connections with EU institutions, investors, and fellow innovators.

The summit also allowed InnovX to deepen its engagement with EU-driven programs like InnoBuyer, ECYBRIDGE, and the WomenTechEU community, spotlighting the need for ecosystem-wide support in scaling gender-inclusive innovation.

EU Initiatives for Women

In April, we proudly welcomed PPC Romania to the Open Horizons Project mission. With a shared vision for sustainability and diversity, PPC Romania will co-design upskilling programs for women innovators in energy, green tech, and digital transformation.

As part of this partnership, PPC Romania alongside other Open Horizons partners, will launch industry challenges that selected start-ups will tackle through the program. They will have the opportunity to:

• Develop Proof of Concept (POC) solutions in collaboration with major industry players
• Access equity-free funding to scale their innovations
• Gain strategic exposure and validation in high-impact sectors

This collaboration is not only about empowering women in tech, but about creating real pathways for innovation, leadership, and growth.

ECYBRIDGE & European Cybersecurity Collaboration

April also marked a milestone in cross-border collaboration on cybersecurity. InnovX was present at the European Defence Fund (EDF) event and hosted strategic online discussions under the ECYBRIDGE initiative, aimed at aligning innovation with Europe's digital sovereignty goals.

The first one – AI in Cybersecurity – explored how artificial intelligence is transforming the defence of critical infrastructures.

The event brought together voices from across Europe in Bucharest to advance interoperability and startup inclusion in national and EU cyber defense strategies. Notable speakers included Maria Gurău from the General Directorate for Armaments within the Ministry of National Defence, as well as representatives from the European Commission and regional cyber resilience experts.

The second webinar – Multi-Stakeholder Cybersecurity Webinar, co-organized with the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre – focused on multi-stakeholder frameworks in cyber threat mitigation, drawing participation from key institutions, researchers, and innovators.

With participation from key institutions, researchers, and innovators, the event spotlighted how public-private partnerships can enable real-time responses to evolving threats. Highlights included insights from leaders at CerTro Technologies Private Limited, Cyberint, a Check Point Company, and Scoala Nationala de Studii Politice si Administrative (SNSPA), emphasizing hybrid warfare responses and agile policy coordination.

We began our Internationalization Phase for MoonShotX, bringing together visionary founders, corporate innovators, and capital partners under one roof, in Vienna. The Arena was buzzing with energy as we facilitated a platform for cross-border collaboration.

Start-Up Chile is celebrating 15 years of empowering innovation in Latin America. At a recent seminar hosted by the Universidad del Desarrollo, current manager Javiera Araneda de la Sotta and former executive directors Horacio Melo, Rocio Fonseca, and Maria de los Angeles Romo reflected on the program’s legacy and challenges ahead.

Over the past decade and a half, the program has supported more than 3,000 start-ups from over 90 countries. Remarkably, the companies it has backed have returned 1.4 times more in taxes to the Chilean government than the state’s total investment in the initiative.
