Overview The Open Horizons Project has officially launched its Inception Programme, powered by InnovX. This marks the first major milestone for the seven women-led deep-tech startups selected in Open Call #1, covering sectors from AI and renewable energy to circular textiles and active ageing.

Programme Activities
Strategy and Pilots
- Led by Anca Luca and supported by Gabriel Arabu, the programme began with alignment sessions.
- Maria-Luiza Jipescu facilitated the first Business Model Canvas workshops, helping teams refine value propositions, customer segments, and revenue models.
- Founders assessed customer needs, technical feasibility, and implementation pathways ahead of the November 21st milestone.
Microsoft Power Lab
- Microsoft experts, including Alina Irma Orban, Aimen Aldahash, Ovidiu Pismac, Robert Pufan, and Sergiu Pop, showcased how the Microsoft ecosystem supports startups.
- Topics included Azure OpenAI, Copilot, and advanced cybersecurity.
Legal Readiness for PoCs
- Legal & IP mentor Bogdan Coraci guided startups through essential PoC frameworks: NDAs, IP rights, confidentiality, negotiation red lines, and licensing agreements.
Partners & Support
- The teams are finalizing their business models with support from corporate partners Stahl, PPC Romania, LG Electronics, Siemens, and Elyaf Tekstil.
- The programme is conducted in collaboration with Sploro, PEDAL Consulting, Migros, and InnovX.
