Innovx Achievements Wolves Summit 2021

Wolves Summit is returning as a hybrid event on 19-21 October 2021. Organised as an online & offline event, the upcoming edition offers startups, scaleups, corporations, executives, investors, partners and sponsors alike the unique opportunity to reach the global tech community and meet in person, for the first time in Wrocław, Poland. The InnovX–BCR ecosystem will be present at the event with three panels, 18 Alumni, from which 9 will pitch on stage.

Panels:

  1. Fueling the new generation of Investors in CEE Moderated by Daniel Dumitrescu, the discussion was held by Ana Bobirca, Mihaela Toader, Mircea Moraru and Nicu Iancu. Here’s what we’ve learnt:

Entrepreneurs are taking more global approaches and there is a high potential for new businesses to blossom, especially in industries such as cyber-security, waste management, climate change, medtech and fintech

We notice a shift of focus from grants to financial instruments that are oriented towards equity

It is paramount to connect these startups that have a strong potential to succeed to the right types of investors

  1. Is CEE already a Global Cluster of Innovation?

Moderated by Ana Cretu, the discussion was held by Sergiu Manea, Alina Irma Orban, Alexandru Mihailciuc and Alboaie Lenuta. Here’s what we’ve learnt:

Corporations need startups, and startups need corporations.

The next 10 years will bring fundamental changes to our world, and to adapt, people and industries will need to acquuire new skills.

It’s not only technology alone that shapes the future of economy and society. It’s the people needs and aspirations that are driving the changes, enabled by technology.

  1. Romania – Poland Innovation Bridge: Fostering Growth in Central and Eastern Europe

Moderated by Aisling Hunt, the discussion was held by Magdalena Jabłońska, Wojciech Ratymirski, Loredana Chitu and Daniel Dumitrescu. Here’s what we’ve learnt:

Partnership enables the startups to raise bussiness opportunities and collaborations

It is a very good moment to build for the future and strong execution is a must

Without collaboration, nothing would be possible

As 2020 marks the second best year in the CEE Venture Capital scene for countries such as Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic, there is a clear need to support the growth of the new investment funds in the region. This is where the InnovX BCR VCs Bootcamp, the first accelerator Romania for aspiring VCs from the CEE region, comes into play!

One of the results of our collaboration with Poland is the RadiX project, a late seed investment fund for deep tech startups in CEE, estimated to be launched in 2022.

Together with our global partners from CMS, using proven methodologies and beneficiating of the InnovX BCR execution, we are organizing a fast track to incorporate and manage new VC funds, democratizing access to the world of risk finance.

After pitching in front of the jury: Wiktoria Przybylska, Bobbi Bidochka, Adrian Kondrat and Angelo Burgarello, from 100 companies, 50 got further, into the semifinals and from them, 10 are the grand finalists.

We are proud to say that 2 of our Alumni are on the podium: Kinderpedia and EmailTree. After 3 months of constant work and winning 1st place at the Demo Day, everyone got the confirmation of their hard work and effort once more, winning 2nd and 3rd place at the Wolves Summit 2021 Pitching Contest. Everytime a result like this comes to the spotlight we want to share our gratitude to the mentors of the program. We could not make it without you!

Let’s not get past this event without congratulating our 7 Alumni that got into the semifinals: Soundwaves App, Comarket, 3minutesjob.com, Jobful, Playground, Invoice Cash, Finqware and Veelancing!

Kudos guys! To many, many more…
