Open Horizons is a Horizon Europe project funded by the European Commission, designed to accelerate the growth of women-led deep-tech and digital startups by connecting them with leading European corporations, funding opportunities, mentoring, and real-world pilot projects. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between breakthrough innovation and market adoption while addressing the persistent funding and commercialization challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Europe.
InnovX leads startup acceleration, pilot preparation, and follow-on support activities, playing a pivotal role in helping selected startups transform innovative technologies into validated business solutions. Since its launch, Open Horizons has brought together 14 corporate partners and innovation challenges spanning key sectors including artificial intelligence, advanced computing, cybersecurity, energy, manufacturing, construction, retail, fintech, agritech, IoT, green technologies, and advanced materials. These collaborations enable startups to develop solutions that directly address real industry needs while creating tangible innovation outcomes for corporate partners.
